Audio Adventures

Outdoor Creative Adventures for Everyone

"Come on an Audio Adventure!
Here are some headphones - welcome to the wonderful world of sound.
Now follow us as we guide you on a surprising journey..."

We make Audio Adventures with community groups to respond to places that belong to them.  We play with the memories and experiences people have of a place or invent fictions to see that place in a new way.  We work with an exciting range of creatives to develop the skills of participants and make exciting events about the place they live in.

“Audio Adventures is a unique immersive experience that takes participants on a journey around a place, enabling them to experience history in the very spot in which it happened.  Combining storytelling, music and memory, Ragged Edged Productions has created an auditory experience that envelops the listener in artistic narratives and authentic local voices and brings the rich history of Maryport to life. Capturing hidden stories co-created with residents, this participatory project offers ways for people to explore, celebrate and create shared experiences.  It also brings depth and meaning to people’s experience of place and highlights the integral role culture and creativity play in the regeneration of town centres and high streets.”
– Joanne Spencer, Cumberland Council Project Manager
